Warriors
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
The warrior group encompasses those classes of character who make their way in the world primarily by skill at arms: fighters, paladins, and rangers. Warriors are allowed to use any weapon and can wear any type of armour. The disadvantage warriors have is that they are restricted in their selection of magical items and spells.
All warriors gain one 8-sided at 1st level. After 1st level, warriors gain just 3 hit-points per level.
All warriors gain the ability to make more than one melee attack per round as they rise in level. The table below shows how many melee attacks fighters, paladins, and rangers can make per round, as a function of their levels.
Warrior Melee Attacks per Round
Level | Attacks/Round |
---|---|
1-6 | 1 |
7-12 | 2 |
13+ | 3 |
Warlord
When a warrior attains 8th level, he can automatically attract men-at-arms. The exact nature of this retinue and their motivation depends upon the class of warrior, but regardless of motive, they have heard of your character’s famous deeds and seek to serve under him. To attract these men, the warrior must have a stronghold.
Note that a warrior may build a stronghold long before 8th level, provided he has sufficient funds, but it is only upon attaining 8th level that his name is famous enough to attract a band of other warriors.
Each warrior class has its stronghold and follower list which can be referenced in their respective class descriptions.
