Human

By virtue of their adaptability, strong spirits and many other undefinable qualities, humans have become the dominant race of thinking beasts the World over. While they became civilised long after the empires of elf and dwarfkind arose and flourished, the kingdoms of humanity have come to outshine those of elder kindreds in scale and martial prowess. While lesser in artistry, humans are doubtlessly more skilled in war than the reclusive and apathetic elves, or the pragmatically unheroic dwarves. Humans are capable of terrible evils, but it is also from human stock that some of the greatest champions of good arise.

Although humans are treated as a single race in the Marcherlands game, they come in all the varieties we know on Earth. A human character can have whatever racial characteristics the DM allows.

Humans are very adaptable and versatile folk. As such, humans add 1 to an initial ability score of your choice.

A human character can be of any class.
