Dukes of Hell belong to the upper echelons of Hell, subordinate only to the grand-dukes, and to the Seven Princes themselves. There are about fifty dukes in each of the houses of the Infernal Parliament.
Like all demons, Dukes cannot bear the presence of holy objects. Blessed and silver weapons deal double damage to Dukes, and Dukes cannot enter churches or other hallowed spaces. If they use weapons at all, Dukes generally use sabres.
Being fabulous beings of immense knowledge, Dukes are skilled sorcerers. A Duke can cast Magic Mouth 6 times per day, Alter Self 6 times per day, Produce Flame 4 times per day, Darkness 4 times per day, Fire Shield 3 times per day, Burning Hands 3 times per day, Summon Insects 3 times per day, Hypnotism 2 times per day, and Comet 1 time per day. Additionally, a Duke can planeshift once per day, returning to or emerging from his native Hell.
